Joining and cost
Is Christian Love Finder free?
Yes. Classic membership is free and stays free. You can build a full profile, browse every member, get daily match suggestions, verify your ID and send a limited number of messages a day without paying anything. You can also always read and reply to messages from VIP and VIP+ members.
Do I have to pay to message someone?
No. Classic members can send a limited number of messages each day, and can always read and reply to messages from VIP and VIP+ members. VIP removes the daily limit entirely.
What is the difference between VIP and VIP+?
VIP removes the daily message limit and adds advanced search filters, exclusive chat rooms, private group chats, swipe rewind and the full list of people who like you. VIP+ includes all of that and adds visibility: exclusive matches, priority placement for your messages and likes, a boosted profile in your area, and top of the match stack.
Which currency will I be charged in?
Prices are shown in the currency of your market. We list United States dollars, pounds sterling, Canadian dollars, euros and Australian dollars on the membership page, and more currencies are available at checkout.
How long does it take to sign up?
About two minutes for the essentials. You can add more to your profile whenever you like, and members with fuller profiles consistently get more replies.
Safety and privacy
Will people I know see my profile?
Your real name and email are never shown publicly, your profile shows only your nearest town or city rather than an address, and you can block any member instantly.
How do you verify that members are real?
ID verification is free on every tier and puts a visible badge on the profile. Members who would rather not submit documents can instead be validated manually by our team, which gives them a validation badge without handing over anything sensitive. Video verification is also available.
What happens if someone behaves badly?
You can block any member immediately so they can no longer contact or see you, and report users or content from inside the platform. Reports are looked at by real people. Behaviour is also monitored automatically, and content is screened on upload rather than only after someone complains.
Can I hide or delete my profile?
Yes. You control what appears on your profile and who can contact you, and you can block any member instantly.
Faith and the community
Is online dating okay for Christians?
There is nothing in Christian teaching that says how two people are supposed to meet. Online dating is a way of being introduced, in the same way a friend, a workplace or a church social is a way of being introduced. What matters is how you behave once you have met.
Do I have to be part of a church to join?
No. Plenty of members are between churches, have recently moved, or are finding their way back. We do not ask for church membership and we do not check one.
Which denominations are welcome?
All of them. Members come from every Christian tradition and every level of practice, and nobody is sorted into a category or kept apart from anyone else. Members set out for themselves how much faith shapes what they are looking for.
Can a Catholic marry a non-Catholic?
Yes. Marrying a baptised non-Catholic is called a mixed marriage and requires permission from the bishop. Marrying someone who is not baptised requires a dispensation. In both cases the Catholic partner declares an intention to keep practising and promises to do all in their power to share their faith with any children. Ask your own parish priest, because the process varies by diocese.
When is the Adventist Sabbath?
Seventh-day Adventists observe the Sabbath from sunset on Friday to sunset on Saturday. It typically involves worship, rest, time in nature, Bible study and time with family and friends, and stepping back from work and business.
Finding people
What if there are no Christian singles near me?
This is almost always a radius problem rather than a shortage of people. Members who search sixty miles instead of ten see a completely different platform. In the UK and Ireland that is a train ride. In the United States, Canada and Australia it is worth thinking in terms of your region rather than your town.
Can I search outside my own country?
Yes. You set your own distance preferences and can search nationally or internationally. Our largest communities are in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland and Australia.
How do I meet Christian singles when my church is small?
Widen the circle before you widen your standards. Regional and diocesan events, larger churches nearby that run something midweek, volunteering and interest groups with a faith overlap, and then online. Online is the only option that reliably solves a numbers problem, because thirty people in a congregation is thirty people.
What can I do without matching with anyone?
Most of it. Group chats, topic spaces, online events and the member feed are all open on the free tier and none of them require a match first. A lot of members get to know people there long before anyone sends a first message.
Still deciding?
Registering is free and needs no card details, so you can look before you commit to anything.
